Ontario is making it simpler for seniors to safely stay behind the wheel with a convenient way to renew their driver’s licence.
Previously, drivers 80 years and over had to attend a separate location to complete vision and cognitive screening assessments and would subsequently have to renew their driver’s licence with ServiceOntario.
Beginning in February, these drivers will be able to complete mandatory testing and driver’s licence renewal at ServiceOntario centres in one efficient visit, significantly expanding access and cutting wait times.
This service will be available at all ServiceOntario centres by the end of March.
