Ontario Welcomes Goodyear Canada’s Investment to expand Ontario Plant

  • Today, Premier Ford and Minister Fedeli joined Goodyear Canada to announce the company’s investment of over $575 million to modernize and expand its plant in Napanee, Ontario.
  • This investment will help Goodyear significantly increase its production capacity for electric vehicle and all-terrain tires, creating and securing more than 1,000 jobs. 
  • Goodyear’s investment is another significant boost to Ontario’s growing electric vehicle sector, building on the $43 billion that have been invested in the sector over the past four years.
  • The Government of Ontario, through Invest Ontario, will provide $20 million to support key components of this project, including the implementation of innovative technologies and skills training programs.
