Ontario Welcomes $200 Million Boost to Manufacturing in Port Colborne

• We are pleased to welcome Jungbunzlauer’s $200 million investment to strengthen local manufacturing, create jobs, and boost regional economic growth in Port Colborne.
• Through Invest Ontario, Ontario is supporting this investment with $4.8 million in funding in the form of a grant.
• The investment will establish the first xanthan gum manufacturing facility in the country, creating 50 new, good-paying jobs for local workers.
• Jungbunzlauer is the only producer of xanthan gum in Canada. This fermented sugar is used to thicken and stabilize products across a variety of sectors such as food and beverages, health care, animal feed, personal care, detergents and various industrial applications.
