Ontario Sport Hosting Program Applications Now Open

• Our government is now accepting applications for the second intake of the 2025-26 Sport Hosting Program to help communities across the province host national and international amateur sport events.
• Bringing more amateur sport events to Ontario gives our athletes a chance to compete at home, while fostering national unity and driving domestic tourism that protects local businesses and jobs at this crucial time.
• Since 2018, the Ontario Sport Hosting Program has supported more than 210 events, generating approximately $185 million in economic activity across the province.
• Hosting sport events in Ontario also helps Ontario athletes gain high-performance competition experience they need to excel on the world stage, while showing the world Ontario is a destination of choice for hosting amateur sport events.
