Ontario Opens New Medical School in Brampton

• As our latest step in the largest expansion of medical education in over a decade, our government has opened the first medical school in Ontario in 20 years at the Toronto Metropolitan University School of Medicine.
• Our government has invested nearly $180M to train future doctors at TMU, starting with 176 undergraduate and postgraduate medical students for the 2025-26 school year who will strengthen and protect access to excellent health care for communities across Ontario.
