Ontario Investing $600,000 to Protect Jewish Summer Camps
June 3, 2026
For generations, Jewish summer camps have played a vital role in nurturing Jewish faith, identity and culture. Children and staff have the right to attend these camps safely.
Through the Ontario Anti-Hate Security and Prevention (AHSP) grant, our government is strengthening protections against hate-motivated incidents by investing $600,000 in a dedicated one-time funding stream for eligible Jewish summer camps.
This grant is intended to help camps strengthen safety and security measures, while ensuring children can continue benefiting from the educational, cultural, and community‑building experiences that summer camps provide.
Since 2023, our government has invested nearly $60M through the AHSP grant program, supporting over 3,800 faith-based and cultural communities protect their facilities from hate-motivated incidents.
The application portal for this dedicated grant will open on June 2, 2026, and close on June 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. EST.
We will continue working across government and with local organizations to create community-centred solutions that help foster a safer and more united Ontario.
