Ontario Building More Electric Vehicle Chargers

For EV drivers, finding a charging station that’s close by and available can mean the difference between a quick stop and a time-consuming detour that takes away time from work, school, and family.
That’s why our government is investing $63 million to build over 1,300 new EV charging stations in underserved communities across the province, including northern and rural areas.
These new chargers will be located at 270 different sites, including arenas, hospitals, and community centres, making life easier and more convenient for drivers.
Unlike the Liberals’ costly and ineffective green policies, we prioritize affordability, convenience, and time savings for EV drivers, especially in smaller communities.
That is why our government introduced the Affordable Energy Act to keep rates low through non-emitting nuclear energy, and it is why Ontario announced the ultra-low rate to help families save money when they charge their EV overnight.
This expansion is part of our broader vision for a clean, connected, and affordable Ontario, building the infrastructure to support the province’s EV leadership and affordable energy future.
