Ontario Boosting Efforts to Combat Bullying and Support Student Mental Health

  • Our priority is and continues to be supporting Ontario’s families by breaking down barriers so students can get back to basics and focus on what matters most – strengthening literacy and STEM in the classroom.
  • That is why our government is investing $4.6 million in funding to school boards and organizations to promote safe school environments through programming, capacity building and development of resources and training to combat bullying and cyber bullying.
  • This funding will support the following community partners:
    • Big Brothers and Big Sisters
    • Roots of Empathy
    • Kids Help Phone
    • Egale
    • Child Development Institute
    • Principal Association Projects
    • Victim Services Toronto
    • pflag Canada
    • Victim Services Durham Region
    • George Hull Centre for Children and Families
  • Through these historic investments, the government of Ontario continues to support a safe and healthy learning environment where every child can reach their full potential without fear or hesitation.
