May 14, 2025
Under the leadership of Premier Ford, Ontario is leading the way in tearing down interprovincial trade barriers, resulting in new opportunities for job creation, economic growth, and investment attraction.
Today’s MOU signing is just the latest step our government is taking to unlock the enormous potential of true free trade within Canada, which will lower costs for families and add up to $200 billion to our national GDP.
Through the MOU signed today, Ontario and Manitoba have agreed to boost the flow of goods, services, investments and workers, including direct-to-consumer sales of alcohol and improved interprovincial labour mobility.
When it comes to trade between provinces and territories, our government is unwavering in its commitment to strengthen and unify Canada, and create new markets and opportunities for Ontario workers and goods.
