Ontario Achieves Substantial Completion of Eglinton Crosstown LRT

Our government successfully achieved Substantial Completion of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT and is delivering it for riders.

We inherited the Eglinton Crosstown LRT from the Liberals, and we brought it to the point where it’s ready for service.

Full operational control is being transferred to the TTC; it is expected the Eglinton Crosstown LRT will open to the public in the coming weeks.

The Eglinton Crosstown will reduce end-to-end travel time across Toronto’s midtown by nearly one hour.

Under Premier Ford, Ontario’s $70 billion plan is expanding transit, fighting gridlock, and keeping workers on the job in the face of tariffs and economic uncertainty.
