Nominations now open for the Ontario Veterans Award for Community Service Excellence.
April 13, 2026
Veterans contribute to their communities every day. That’s why we are pleased to recognize recipients of the Ontario Veterans Award for Community Service Excellence (OVACSE) each year.
This award honours individuals for exceptional and ongoing service to their communities, such as work to help veterans re-integrate into civilian life, supporting those with ongoing mental or physical injuries, or other broader community-building initiatives.
Our government is expanding eligible nominating organizations beyond the Ontario branches of The Royal Canadian Legion. New partner organizations include Treble Victor Group, the True Patriot Love Foundation, the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans in Canada (ANAVETS) and the Canadian Association of Veterans in United Nations Peacekeeping (CAVUNP).
Through these new partnerships, our government is further strengthening the OVACSE program and its impact.
Eligible partners can submit nominations online through the Ontario Honours and Awards Portal until September 4, 2026. More information about OVACSE is available on Ontario.ca.
