Gas Tax Cut Extension

• To continue keep costs down for Ontario families and businesses, the Ontario government is introducing legislation through the 2024 Fall Economic Statement which would extend the temporary gasoline and fuel tax rate cuts until December June 30, 2025

• This would save Ontario households $380 on average since the cuts were first introduced in July 2022.
• This proposed extension to the gasoline and fuel tax rate cuts builds on a host of measures to make life more affordable for people across the province, and further details about the government’s plan to keep costs down for families and businesses will be included in government’s 2024 Fall Economic Statement!
