Experience Ontario 2026 is now open for applications

Festivals and events support tens of thousands of jobs and support our local economies.

Our government is launching Experience Ontario 2026, a program to support festivals and events across the province through two funding streams:

• Capacity Building Stream: a brand-new stream with funding support specifically for new, first-time festivals and events in Ontario
• Established Events Stream: this stream will support recurring Ontario festivals and events, including those that may have previously received Experience Ontario funding.

These investments are central to our government’s plan to Protect Ontario by safeguarding its people and places, while creating great experiences for visitors to discover the province and boosting the local economies that keep the province strong.

Funding will help organizers deliver unique experiences that encourage people to discover Ontario, connect with neighbours, enhance local partnerships, create dynamic communities, and foster pride among residents. 

Applicants can apply between now through December 16, 2025.
