Anti-Hate Security and Prevention Grant Program Launch

  • Our government continues to take action to ensure that every Ontarian, regardless of their background, religious beliefs or who they love, can practice their faith and express their beliefs freely, without the fear of hate or intimidation.
  • That is why our government is investing $25.5 million over two years in the Anti-Hate Security and Prevention Grant, to help address the rise of hate incidents and ensure community spaces remain safe and secure.
  • Funding for eligible organizations can be used to enhance or implement safety and security measures, including building upgrades, enhancing locks, installing security cameras, and more.
  • Since 2021, our government has allocated a total of $86 million to grants and programs to protect faith and cultural communities.
  • Our government will continue to work closely with our local faith-based and cultural communities to foster a stronger, safer and more prosperous Ontario.
  • The application portal for the new round of the AHSP Grant program opens on October 31, 2024, and closes on December 2, 2024.
